One thing I tell clients is to avoid drinking your calories. Most times the calories are empty, no nutrition, add up quickly, and are high in sugar.
Soft drinks including soda/pop is loaded with high fructose corn syrup. Consuming this can double the amount of fat your body stores not only around your belly but also around your liver. Fatty deposits around the organs start at any age. This fat accumulates due to the high blood sugar content.
Would you eat teaspoons of sugar? Unlikely!
