Pre and post workout nutrition are very important meals, almost more important than breakfast. Getting the right type of nutrients into your body will actually optimize the effects of whatever exercise you have done that day. So what to eat beforehand?
a) a generous size salad with many greens and veggies 30 minutes before
b) a 3-5oz steak with a little bit of mashed potatoes 30-45 minutes before
c) a high carbohydrate and protein snack such as greek yogurt with oatmeal and raisins about 45-60 minutes before
d) a handful of nuts
